Taught in the Himalayas, taught here with care

Hello, I’m Michelle, and I’m so glad you’re here.

My journey into yoga led me to the Himalayas of Nepal, where I completed my training in the traditional teachings of Hatha Yoga. Immersed in a simple, disciplined way of life, I discovered that yoga is far more than physical postures. It is a practice of awareness, steady breath, self-inquiry, and living with greater balance on and off the mat.

I also hold a Diploma in Sound Healing. The gentle voice of Himalayan singing bowls, gong and chime weaves through my immersion weekends and selected classes — an invitation to let go, settle and rest deeply.

Here in Scotland, I teach in a way that reflects that experience — creating a calm, welcoming space where students can move with care, breathe deeply, and reconnect with themselves at their own pace.

My hope is that every class feels calm, safe and unhurried — a little pocket of stillness in your week, where you can breathe, soften and grow in confidence at your own speed. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or returning to the mat, I’d be honoured to guide you with patience, kindness and genuine care.

If you feel drawn to this way of practising, I’d love to welcome you. Come and join me for a class or immersion weekend, and give yourself the time and space to slow down, reconnect and experience yoga in a deeper way.

My Approach

Yoga as a Journey Within

My approach to yoga is rooted in the traditional teachings of Hatha Yoga, as experienced during my training in the Himalayas of Nepal.

For me, yoga is much more than the physical practice of moving through postures. The asanas create a doorway — a way of becoming quieter, more aware and more connected to ourselves. Through movement, breath, meditation and stillness, we begin to observe what is happening within us, learning to meet our thoughts, emotions and sensations with greater awareness and kindness.

As the practice deepens, yoga becomes something we carry beyond the mat. It can teach us to slow down, to listen, to become more present and to respond to life with greater patience and compassion.

My intention is to create a space where you can explore this journey gently and without judgement. There is no need to be flexible, experienced or able to perform complicated postures. Yoga meets us exactly where we are.

Drawing from the wisdom of the Himalayan tradition, I hope to share yoga as a practice for the whole person — body, breath, mind and spirit — offering a little more space, stillness and connection in our everyday lives.
