The agreement
Terms & conditions
Plain terms for booking, paying for and attending our classes and the immersion weekend. Please read them before sending an enquiry — you are asked to accept them on the form.
Bookings and enquiries
A place on the immersion weekend is reserved when you complete the booking form, and confirmed once the £50 deposit has been received. Places are limited to ten per run and allocated in the order they are booked. For one-to-one, group and parent and baby classes the form starts a conversation rather than a booking; a place is confirmed once we have replied in writing with a date.
Prices and payment
- Pennan weekend (2–4 October): £175 for the first six places booked, and £195 for every place thereafter.
- Edinburgh course (five Friday evenings, 6–9pm, from 23 October — 15 hours over five weeks): £145 for the first six places booked, and £165 for every place thereafter. The price shown when you book is the price you pay.
- Deposit: £50, non-refundable, payable on booking. It secures your place and is deducted from the balance.
- Balance: due in full two weeks before the first day of your run — by 18 September 2026 for Pennan (2–4 October) and by 9 October 2026 for the Edinburgh course (starting 23 October). Places whose balance is unpaid by then may be released.
- Classes: fees and payment methods are confirmed in our reply to your enquiry.
Cancellation by you
- Immersion weekend: the £50 deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. Cancel more than 28 days before the start and any balance paid is refunded. Within 28 days the full fee is non-refundable, though we will always try to transfer your place to another participant or a future weekend.
- One-to-one and group classes: please give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or receive a refund. Sessions missed with less notice are charged in full.
Cancellation by us
If we have to cancel a session or the weekend for any reason — illness, weather, or venue problems — you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of everything you have paid, including the deposit. We are not able to reimburse travel or accommodation costs, so please arrange those with that in mind.
Accommodation and travel
The immersion weekend is not a residential retreat. No accommodation, transport or meals beyond the tea and shared breaks described on the schedule are provided. You are responsible for your own travel, parking and overnight arrangements.
Health, safety and your responsibility
Yoga is a physical practice undertaken at your own risk. You agree to tell us about injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy or medication before practising, and to update us if anything changes. If you are unsure whether the practice is suitable, please consult your doctor first. We may adapt or decline to teach a practice where we believe it would be unsafe. Always work within your own limits — nothing in a class should be forced, and you are free to rest at any point.
Conduct and the group
These are small shared spaces. We ask for punctuality, phones silenced, respect for other participants and for whatever is spoken in the room to stay in the room. We reserve the right to ask anyone whose behaviour affects the safety or wellbeing of the group to leave, without refund.
Children and parent & baby classes
In parent and baby sessions the accompanying adult remains responsible for their child at all times. Please do not attend with an unwell child, and follow any postnatal guidance from your midwife or GP before starting.
Liability
We carry appropriate teaching insurance. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under law. Otherwise we are not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings brought to a venue.
Your data
Details you send through the enquiry form are handled as described in our privacy policy.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page at the moment you enquire is the one that applies to you. These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. Questions are welcome at michellehimalayayoga@gmail.com.
Accepting these terms
Ticking the acceptance box on the booking enquiry form confirms you have read and agree to these terms and conditions. If anything here does not work for you, email us before enquiring and we will talk it through.
